And I think this is a development that bodes well for both parents and school systems. For too long we looked at every difference: separate that out, isolate it, focus on it as separate and apart. What we know is that separate often is unequal, and it doesn't necessarily work to the advantage of kids who need to be educated with their gen ed peers, and not broken off from the system.
