The Man-Eating Lions of Tsavo are without a doubt, two of the most famous specimens on display at The Field Museum, thanks in part to the 1996 film 'The Ghost And The Darkness'. But the movie isn't without its flaws and inaccuracies: for instance, it was filmed in South Africa instead of Kenya, and the lions in the film have gorgeous manes and were from a zoo in Ontario - but, the drama is based off of true events.
