The Epic of Gilgamesh is more than four thousand years old. Written versions of the story date
back to 2100 BCE, which gives it incredible historical value. For instance, several versions
of the Gilgamesh story use both Sumerian and Akkadian names for gods, which shows -how
the story might have passed orally between the cultures of ancient Mesopotamia. ...
